  • Attack near Chakir: This attack was analyzed during Violet’s first Battle Brief in chapter 5 of Fourth Wing. This is where we begin seeing corruption and secrets regarding the wards. The attack was on the Eastern Wing near the village of Chakir by Braevi gryphons and riders. According to Prof. Devera, the wards faltered along the top of the Esben Mountains. This allowed the gryphons and riders to channel their powers inside Navarrian borders. 37 civilians were killed in the attack. One rider died and one dragon was injured. Buildings were being looted and burned, which implies they were looking for something.
  • Attack on Summerton: This attack is accidentally seen on a scroll by Violet and Liam when they are taking reading material and frontline information back to leadership. In chapter 21 of Fourth Wing, another high-altitude attack took place, and the village’s convoy supply was looted. The scroll wasn’t marked as confidential, and the attack wasn’t talked about during Battle Brief, which raised concern between Liam and Violet.
