Violet: “Conscription Day is always the deadliest” (Yarros 1). This is a day where all candidates of Basgiath War College must say goodbye to their families and begin their education. Candidates of the Riders College must cross the parapet in order to enter the Riders Quadrant campus for the first time. It is one of the many obstacles the quadrant uses to weed out candidates they deem unfit.
